Chevron Technical Services customer has an exciting opportunity based in London Gatwick for a Compliance Manager.

The Compliance Manager will play an important part in the set-up and the ongoing success of the operation. You will join a small team to establish the new company.  Everyone will work both strategically and hands on.  The next six months will be demanding and will require of you an entrepreneurial spirit and a can-do attitude.

Job Purpose

Responsible for the management oversight and continuous improvement of the integrated Management System (iMS = SMS / CMS / SeMS). To lead and ensure the business and its management system meets the applicable regulatory requirements, monitors compliance and maintains adequate and effective procedures required to ensure an operation compliant with the legal requirements and regulations, safe operational practices and airworthy aeroplanes. This is a combined role to oversee compliance in the Air Operations and CAMO areas


Principal Accountabilities

  • Establish the Compliance Audit Programme, ensuring it remains current, includes all required areas (NPFO,
  • NPCT, NPGO, SMA) and is amended in response to company, technological or regulatory changes, trend analysis, occurrences, or investigations.
  • Schedule and perform audits as per the audit programme and nominate and train any auditors to perform such duties including scheduling follow up audits and inspections;
  • Oversee all audit activity ensuring that it meets standard and evaluate, accept and present the audit results to the AM;
  • Issue improved corrections and corrective actions and verify that the responsible managers take the corrective action and establish preventative measures where necessary. To ensure Compliance findings are handled in accordance with established procedures;
  • To be the Compliance Monitoring Manager in accordance with Part CAMO and ensure the aircraft Airworthiness Review Certifications remain current and are managed in accordance Regulatory requirements;
  • Monitor the CAMO activities for compliance with the applicable requirements and any additional requirements as established by the company, and that these activities are carried out properly under the supervision of the nominated persons referred to in points ORO and CAMO.A;
  • To monitor Compliance and the adequacy of procedures required to ensure safe operational practices and airworthy aeroplanes as a commercial airline operator holding a UK AOC operating under UK Law, the Air Navigation Order 2021 (ANO) via Statutory Instrument SI2019 No.645 and all associated regulations.
  • Conduct any such investigations as may be required by the Accountable Manager;
  • Manage the relationships with the National organisations and regulator for the aviation business. E.g. AAIB, CAA, DfT, UKFSC, UKAB, BATA, BA and NATS. Ensuring that the company
  • To represent the Company in the IATA DAQCP (De/Anti-Icing Quality Control Pool), maintain inspector qualification and conduct allocated inspections in accordance with the terms of the agreement;
  • Ad-hoc project work as required



  • Minimum of grade C G.C.S.E. in maths and English or equivalent.
  • Business degree level relevant qualification or equivalent
  • Possess a job-related qualification (examples: related Degree, HNC, pilot
  • licence, engineer licence etc.)

Experience and Knowledge

  • Proven experience as a qualified Compliance Manager with an aviation company or airline. (Previous Form 4 holder)
  • To have been previously acceptable to the CAA as EU OPS/EASA Compliance Manager
  • Experience in the development, delivery and communication of an integrated Management System (iMS), and complex Corporate Risk Assessment
