Chevron Technical Services and Aircraft Maintenance joins forces with Storm Aviation in exciting new acquisition expansion deal.

Storm Aviation Limited (Storm Aviation), a leading global provider of line and base maintenance and aviation training services, has acquired the Chevron Technical Services and Aircraft Maintenance group (Chevron) in an exciting new expansion deal which will secure significant growth opportunities for the Storm Aviation network and the existing Chevron operations at Manchester and Prestwick.

Storm Aviation Limited, a subsidiary of FL Technics, which is part of Avia Solutions Group, already has access to 68,000 square metres of bay hangar space in Europe, China, and Southeast Asia and offers airline clients access to one of the largest independent line maintenance networks covering more than 70 airport locations worldwide. Headquartered at the Diamond Hangar in London Stansted Airport, Storm Aviation boasts a 25-year history marked by a track record of successful projects delivered to tier-one customers, including Lufthansa, Emirates, Swiss International Airlines, Rolls Royce, and EasyJet.

After over 40 years of aircraft engineering experience as a family run business successfully supporting Worldwide based organisations across the aerospace manufacturing and MRO sectors, Chevron has taken this major step in joining forces with Storm Aviation and the ever-expanding aviation family of Avia Solutions Group companies to secure the future growth opportunities at its Manchester and Prestwick sites.

Len Morris, Chevron’s founder and company Chairman said, “After over 40 years of commitment to our customers, it is exciting to see the Chevron group now join forces with Storm Aviation as part of the wider Avia Solutions Group. Becoming an integral part of the Storm Aviation network will enable the Chevron team to build on their past successes and further strengthen our globally established reputation for quality of service and customer care”.

“Our Manchester workshop operation will add a new dimension to Storm Aviation’s already extensive portfolio of services, and our aircraft maintenance operation in Prestwick will provide the Storm Aviation network with significant additional base and line maintenance capability, as well as an exciting new opportunity to potentially become a core hub for training for the FL Technics Group worldwide”.

“We’ve seen our challenges over the past four decades, and none more so over the past 18 months of course, but I’m extremely proud that the company I formed has weathered those challenges and has grown into the professional, high performing organisation we see today. So, it’s a real pleasure for me now to be able to continue to build on the great work and successes the Chevron team have already achieved and secure the ongoing future success and growth of the Chevron operations under the Storm Aviation banner.”

Thomas Buckley, CEO of Storm Aviation Services, commented: “We are very pleased to announce our acquisition of the highly respected Chevron group of companies. This is an incredible milestone for Storm Aviation Limited and a testament to the outstanding team of people who make us what we are. The Acquisition both enhances and complements the suite of services already offered by Storm Aviation. I look forward to working with the Chevron teams along with the people of Ayrshire Council and Scottish Enterprise who have supported the business throughout the years. Together we will drive further growth and create new opportunities for our people, customers, and stakeholders.”
